FAQ

  • I do not meet for in-person therapy. Sessions are held via video conferencing.

  • The fee for a 60-minute session is $85 for individuals paying in cash.

  • My session hours are:

    • Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm

    • I do not meet for sessions on weekends.

  • I see clients on a weekly or bi-weekly basis at regular times. This spot is reserved just for you. If you are frequently unable to make the time we have agreed upon together, we can decide if there is another time that may work better.

  • Currently I have availability. If my practice is full, I will ask you to provide me with the days and times that you can meet for therapy within my work hours. Once a spot for therapy becomes available, I will reach out to you so we can arrange a 15-20 minute phone call where we can ensure we are a good fit before booking our first session.

  • Payment can be made by email money transfer or by credit card. Payment is due the same day of the session.

  • Your appointment time is saved especially for you. If you are unable to attend the session, I require at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule the appointment. Missed appointments with less than 24 hours of notice will be charged $25. This includes appointments that are made same-day. I am only able to waive the cancellation fee if there is a medical emergency requiring hospitalization, a death in the family, or a natural disaster.

  • I do accept insurance. Ask me about insurance to receive additional information and the documents needed to be completed.

  • I work with individuals aged 18 and up.

  • All aspects of client involvement will be held in utmost confidence in accordance with the ethical guidelines and standards of practice set out by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Personally identifiable information regarding clients is not discussed or disclosed, directly or indirectly, without the prior consent of the client.

    There are a few situations in which I am legally obliged to break confidentiality in order to protect the safety of a client or another individual. These include:

    • Risk of harm to self or another person

    • Suspected child abuse or neglect for a minor under the age of 16 (I am legally obligated to report to Children’s Aid Society under the Child and Family Service Act)

    • A court of law subpoenas clinical records regarding an incident (if possible, I will contact you before releasing any information).
